of Public Works shall have the power to remove, <br /> or require the removal of, any obstruction that <br /> prevents proper inspection of any electrical <br /> equipment. <br /> At least once in each calendar month the <br /> Director of Public Works shall visit all premise~ <br /> where work has been done under annual permits <br /> and shall inspect all electric wiring, devices, <br /> appliances and equipment installed under such a <br /> permit since the date of his last previous in- <br /> spections, and shall issue a certificate of <br /> approval for such work as is found to be in con- <br /> formity with the provisions of this Ordinance <br /> after the fee required has been paid. <br /> <br /> 91-6 CONNECTION TO INSTALLATION. <br /> Except where work is done under Maintenance <br /> Electricians' permit it shall be unlawful for <br /> any person, firm or corporation to make con- <br /> nection from a source of electrical energy or <br /> to supply electric service to any electric <br /> wiring, devices, appliances or equipment for the <br /> installation of which a permit is required, <br /> unless such person, firm or corporation shall <br /> have obtained a certificate of approval issued <br /> by the Director of Public Works. <br /> It shall be unlawful for any person, firm <br /> or corporation to make connections from a source <br /> of electrical energy or to supply electric <br /> service to any electric wiring, devices, ap- <br /> pliances or equipment which has been disconnecte{ <br /> or ordered to be disconnected by the Director <br /> of Public Works or the use of which has been <br /> ordered by the Director of Public Works to be <br /> discontinued until a certificate of approval has <br /> been issued by him authorizing the reconnection <br /> and use of such wiring, devices, appliances or <br /> equipment. The Director of Public Works shall <br /> notify the serving utility of such order to <br /> discontinue use. <br /> <br />SECTION 3: ENFORCEMENT. <br /> This Ordinance a~d the Adopted Code shall be enforced by the <br />Director of Public Works of the City of Pleasanton acting either <br />directly or through properly authorized agents acting within the <br />scope of the particular duties delegated to them by the Director <br />of Public Works. For such purpose the Director of Public Works <br />or his agent shall have the powers of a police officer. <br /> <br />SECTION 4: INTERPRETATION. <br /> The language used in this Ordinance and in the Adopted Code <br />is intended to convey the common and accepted meaning familiar to <br />the Electrical Industry. Should any question arise, the Director <br />of Public Works is hereby authorized to determine the intent and <br />meaning of any provision of this Ordinance and the Adopted Codes. <br />Such determinations shall be made in writinz and a record shall <br /> <br /> <br />
