FOR THE ANNUAL SLURRY SEAL PROJECT, <br /> CIP NO. 20504 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The 2020 Annual Slurry Seal project consisted of applying slurry seal coating to <br /> approximately 1 .9 million square feet of pavement on sections of 50 city streets. <br /> Construction of the project is complete and ready for acceptance. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1 . Accept the work performed by VSS International, Inc. as complete and direct the <br /> City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion with the Alameda County Clerk-Recorder's <br /> Office. <br /> 2. Authorize the payment of retention in the amount of $31 ,253 to VSS International, <br /> Inc. 30 days after recordation of the Notice of Completion. <br /> 3. Authorize the remaining balance $131 ,498 be returned to the Gas Tax Fund 160. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> Funding for this project totaled $765,000 as outlined in Attachment 1 . Expenditures <br /> totaled $633,502, leaving a remaining balance of $131 ,498. Staff recommends the <br /> remaining balance be returned to the Gas Tax Fund 160. <br />
