4 <br /> THE CITY OF <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> PLEASANTON. <br /> January 19, 2021 <br /> Community Development <br /> Traffic Engineering <br /> TITLE: ADOPT A RESOLUTION PROHIBITING PARKING OF VEHICLES OVER <br /> TWENTY FEET IN LENGTH ON THE NORTH SIDE OF THE 1-580 <br /> FREEWAY SOUND WALL ON PIMLICO DRIVE FROM 3897 BROCKTON <br /> DRIVE DUE EAST TO 3783 PIMLICO DRIVE <br /> SUMMARY <br /> Staff recommends no parking of vehicles over twenty feet in length on the north side of <br /> the 1-580 freeway sound wall on Pimlico Drive between 3897 Brockton Drive and 3783 <br /> Pimlico Drive, to prevent oversize vehicles from parking on Pimlico Drive (a residential <br /> street). <br /> The parking restriction signs will be installed and effective upon City Council adopting <br /> the attached resolution. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1 . Adopt the attached resolution prohibiting parking of vehicles over twenty feet in <br /> length on the north side of the 1-580 freeway sound wall on Pimlico Drive, from 3897 <br /> Brockton Drive due east to 3783 Pimlico Drive. <br /> 2. Authorize the City Traffic Engineer to install signs giving notice of said parking <br /> restriction. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> There is no new financial impact associated with this change. Costs associated with the <br /> manufacturing and installation of the no parking signs are included in the Operations <br /> Services Department's operating budget. <br />
