Director of Engineering Kirkpatrick confirmed the Stoneridge Drive dips would be fixed in the short-term <br /> repair. <br /> Councilmember Brown read an email sent just before the meeting by Vic and Terry Maltesta urging the <br /> full long-term repair of the road having heard and witnessed a bevy of vehicular problems from their <br /> yard which abuts Las Positas. Additionally, they requested a police officer check for speeding at the <br /> corner of Fiesta Drive and Las Positas. <br /> Mayor Thorne closed public comment, <br /> In response to Councilmember Pentin's inquiry, Director of Engineering Kirkpatrick confirmed the dips <br /> by Stoneridge are included in this project. <br /> Councilmember Brown supported the measure as Las Positas is a main east-west corridor and creates <br /> traffic on neighboring streets from many residents avoiding it. She expressed her eagerness for the <br /> permanent resolution and not just this first step. <br /> MOTION: It was m/s by Narum/Pentin to approve the staff recommendation of a construction contract <br /> to Goodfellow Bros., LLC, Inc. in the amount of $232,072 for urgent roadway repairs on West Las <br /> Positas Boulevard, between Hacienda Drive and Stoneridge Drive, for the West Las Positas Boulevard <br /> Street Settling Repair Project, CIP No. 11514; authorized Director of Engineering to approve and <br /> execute any required contract change order(s) for a not-to-exceed amount of $23,207.
