CONSENT CALENDAR In response to Councilmember Brown's inquiries, City Manager Fialho clarified areas subject to weed, herbicide and pesticide abatement such as street medians are not frequented by the public and are used consistent with state law. He clarified the City banned the use of these herbicides in areas where people congregate such as City playgrounds and picnic areas several years ago. He explained a bioswale area, such as the grass at the edge of a parking lot, receives herbicide spray infrequently. Lastly, he confirmed the application is like a pre-emergent weed treatment.
