She <br /> suggested that the details of the tobacco retail licensing be clearly spelled out. <br /> Jennifer Duncan spoke in support of the ordinance and reported on an informal survey on NextDoor <br /> which showed 80% of those Pleasanton residents responding believed that youth vaping is a problem. <br /> Sophia Thompson stated that vaping is a big problem for teenagers and supports banning all vaping <br /> products and flavored tobacco. <br /> Chong Wang spoke in support of the ordinance. <br /> John Nassar spoke in support of a 90-day implementation period and fining the store owner as well as <br /> the clerk when prohibited sales are made. <br /> Hamid Akbarzada spoke in opposition to the ordinance and supports delaying this discussion until the <br /> COVID pandemic is over, to allow for all the community to voice their opinion. <br /> Kristie Wang expressed her support for the ordinance and stressed the importance that the ordinance be <br /> specific and without loopholes. <br /> Owen Wise-Pierik voiced his support for the ordinance. <br /> Rosalyn Moya spoke in support of the ordinance and a tobacco retail license program. <br /> Amelia Shannon expressed her support for the ordinance, recommending a six-month implementation <br /> period. <br /> Craig Austin Wingate spoke in support of the ordinance and a tobacco retail license program. <br /> City Council Minutes Page 5 of 8 May 5. 2020 <br />
