Pleasanton Police Department <br />Pleasanton PD Policy Manual <br />Conducted Energy Device <br />(g) Restraint techniques that do not impair respiration following the application of the CED. <br />309.10 DATAPORT TRACKING <br />The Personnel and Training Unit will be responsible for dataport tracking of all assigned Tasers <br />and shall be responsible for: <br />(a) Performing random audit downloads of department issued TASERS. The audit will <br />also consist of the functioning of the device as well as testing and checking for abuse <br />of the TASER. <br />(b) When informed of a TASER discharge. <br />1. Download the discharge memory of the involved TASER for record keeping <br />which will serve as a supplemental report. <br />2. If there is a significant difference between the download data and the reported <br />time the device was applied, the department designee shall advise the officer's <br />watch commander of any discrepancies. <br />(c) Maintaining a log of all TASER discharges on a yearly basis. <br />Copyright Lexipol, LLC 2020/06/17, All Rights Reserved.
