THE CITY OF <br />ON <br />-;i-1111111111111111111111111111" ; CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />PLEASANTON 15 <br />October 6, 2020 <br />Operations Services <br />TITLE: APPROVE AGREEMENT WITH TERRA LANDSCAPE IN THE AMOUNT <br />OF $425,000 FOR WEED ABATEMENT LANDSCAPE SERVICES <br />THROUGHOUT THE CITY <br />SUMMARY <br />A Request for Proposal (RFP) seeking weed abatement and fire vegetation <br />management services was advertised in August 2020. Upon review of the four <br />submitted proposals Terra Landscape, was selected as the most qualified contractor. <br />The Operation Services Department uses a landscaping contractor to perform weed <br />abatement landscape services at various roadside right-of-ways, City owned lots, open <br />space locations, utilities locations, streets and sidewalks, and City parks. The proposal <br />is to award Terra Landscape a three (3) year agreement for a not to exceed amount of <br />$425,000 for weed abatement and fire vegetation management services. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Authorize the City Manager to approve a three (3) year maintenance services <br />agreement with Terra Landscape for weed abatement and fire vegetation services for a <br />total of $425,000 with a not to exceed amount of $125,000 for FY 2020-21, and <br />$150,000 per fiscal years 2021-22, 2022-23 with the option for two additional one-year <br />extensions. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />The total not to exceed amount is $425,000 for three (3) years. Funding for weed <br />abatement and fire vegetation services is included in the Parks Maintenance, Utilities <br />Maintenance and Streets Maintenance divisions operating budgets. <br />
