Exhibit B <br /> PLEASANTON PARATRANSIT SERVICES DEFINITIONS OF OPERATING TERMS <br /> Trips A trip is a boarding on a vehicle by a passenger regardless of <br /> whether a fare is paid, including boardings by attendants and <br /> companions who are not eligible for the program on their own. A <br /> round trip is to be reported as two trips. <br /> Individual trips Trips by individuals not traveling as part of an <br /> organized group. <br /> Ambulatory trips Trips by individuals who do not use a lift or ramp to enter or <br /> exit the vehicle. <br /> Lift/ramp assisted trips Trips by individuals who use a lift or ramp to enter or exit the <br /> vehicle. <br /> Same-day trips Trips requested and provided on the same day. <br /> Subscription trips/Standing Trips provided on a continuing basis, usually every week, <br /> Order trips without needing to be reserved each time a trip is taken. <br /> Group trips This trip category will not be part of the current contract. Trips <br /> made as part of an organized group. The time and destination of <br /> a group trip is established by City of Pleasanton. Trips are <br /> counted as one-way trips made by each participant on the outing. <br /> Example: Group of 10 participants and one attendant travels to and <br /> from shopping mall. Total of 22 one-way trips completed(20 <br /> participant one-way trips and two attendant one-way trips). <br /> Attendant trips Boardings by individuals who travel along with an eligible <br /> rider to provide necessary assistance(i.e. pushing a <br /> wheelchair,providing a steadying arm while walking, etc.). <br /> Companion trips Boardings by an individual who travel along with an eligible <br /> rider to provide companionship <br /> Vehicle hours of service Total time that vehicles are available for carrying passengers, <br /> excluding travel time from an operating terminal to the first pick <br /> up,travel time from the last drop off to an operating terminal, <br /> and driver breaks. <br />
