THE CITY OF 23 <br /> oma. : <br /> ' • r'r"" CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pLEASANTON <br /> June 16, 2020 <br /> Library and Recreation <br /> TITLE: ADOPT A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF <br /> APPLICATIONS TO THE METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION <br /> COMMISSION FOR TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT FUNDS <br /> AND THE ALAMEDA COUNTY TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION FOR <br /> MEASURE B/BB FUNDS FOR THE PARATRANSIT DOOR-TO-DOOR <br /> PROGRAM <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The Transportation Development Act (TDA) provides for the disbursement of funds <br /> through the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) for the purpose of providing <br /> community transit services to local residents. Measure B/BB provides for the <br /> disbursement of funds through the Alameda County Transportation Commission <br /> (Alameda CTC) for the purpose of providing community transit services to seniors and <br /> people with disabilities. Eligible agencies like the City of Pleasanton are required to file <br /> applications annually with both the MTC and the Alameda CTC to receive funding <br /> allocations. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Adopt a resolution authorizing the submittal of applications to the Metropolitan <br /> Transportation Commission for Transportation Development Act funds and the Alameda <br /> County Transportation Commission for Measure B/BB Funds for the Paratransit Door- <br /> to-Door program. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The total cost of the City's Paratransit Door-to-Door program is $706,273. The City <br /> expects to receive $85,000 in funding from the MTC and $377,113 from the Alameda <br /> County Transportation Commission (Measure B/BB). In addition, the City expects to <br /> generate another $22,000 in fares, bringing the City's contribution from the General <br /> Fund for the Pleasanton Paratransit Service (PPS) to $216,717 in FY 2020/21 . <br />
