SUNOL BOULEVARD/I-680 IMPROVEMENTS <br /> PA&ED <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> This scope of services is specifically based to provide the City of Pleasanton(CITY)with <br /> Project Approval, and Environmental Clearance Services (PA/ED) for the Sunol/I-680 <br /> Improvements Project (Project) in the City of Pleasanton and Alameda County. The <br /> project will enhance safety,traffic operations, improve bike and pedestrian facilities. <br /> The Project Study Report—Project Development Support(PSR—PDS),will serve as the <br /> starting point for PA&ED services. The next step of the project development process will <br /> involve preliminary engineering and complete environmental documentation. All design <br /> work will conform to Caltrans standards, guidelines,manuals and policies in effect as of <br /> the date of the Notice to Proceed for the contract. All work will conform to applicable <br /> federal, state, and local codes and other regulatory requirements. <br /> The PSR-PDS provides two build Alternatives; a signalized intersection Alternative and a <br /> roundabout Alternative. In order to facilitate the development of the PA&ED phase,the <br /> first order of work is to continue the evaluation of the two Alternatives studied during the <br /> PSR-PDS phase with the intent to reduce the number of build alternatives to one early on <br /> in this phase of the project. The evaluation and approval process is outlined in the scope <br /> of work under Task 3. <br /> This document describes CONSULTANT's Scope of Work, Milestone Schedule, <br /> Deliverables, and Assumptions. The scope of services is divided into 10 major tasks <br /> described as follows: <br /> • Task 1: Project Management <br /> • Task 2: Traffic Studies <br /> • Task 3: Preliminary Engineering <br /> • Task 4: Environmental Technical Studies <br /> • Task 5: Engineering Technical Studies <br /> • Task 6: Environmental Document <br /> • Task 7: Project Report <br /> • Task 8: Assess Utility Impact <br /> • Task 9: Right of Way Services <br /> • Task 10: Community Outreach <br /> A detailed description of the subtasks and deliverables is described as follows: <br /> TASK 1: PROJECT MANAGEMENT <br /> CONSULTANT will provide project management for each task for the entire duration of <br /> the Agreement schedule. Prior to start of any work, CONSULTANT will interface with <br /> Caltrans staff to assure format consistency of all deliverables. CONSULTANT will not <br /> perform any extra work without prior written authorization from the CITY. If changes in <br /> scope are identified during the course of the project, CONSULTANT will seek client <br /> April 10,2020 2 <br />
