THE CITY OF 5 <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pLEASANTON, <br /> June 2, 2020 <br /> Community Development <br /> Traffic Engineering Division <br /> TITLE: APPROVE A FREEWAY MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON AND CALTRANS FOR INTERSTATE 680 <br /> UNDERCROSSINGS AND OVERCROSSINGS <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The City first entered into a Freeway Maintenance Agreement with Caltrans in May of <br /> 1966. Over the years, overpasses and underpasses have been added to the agreement <br /> and a separate agreement for Stoneridge Drive was created in 1978. <br /> This Freeway Maintenance Agreement consolidates those agreements and clarifies the <br /> responsibilities of both the State and the City with regard to roadway, structure, <br /> landscape, lighting, drainage and column/wall (graffiti) maintenance. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Approve the attached Freeway Maintenance Agreement Between the City of <br /> Pleasanton and Caltrans for the Undercrossings and Overcrossings of 1-680. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> There is no new financial impact associated with this Agreement. The responsibilities for <br /> maintenance in the Agreement are already included in the City's routine maintenance <br /> programs. <br />
