PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-2003-37 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF PLEASANTON <br />COMMUNITY CHURCH FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT APPROVAL, <br />AS FILED UNDER CASE PCUP-84 <br />WHEREAS, Pleasanton Community Church has applied for conditional use permit <br />approval to operate an after school daycare program in the church's <br />education building located at 4455 Stoneridge Drive; and <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD-I (Planned Unit Development -Industrial) <br />District; and <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of August 27, 2003, the Planning <br />Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and <br />recommendations of the City staff concerning this application; and <br />WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from the requirements of <br />the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission made the following findings: <br />The proposed location of the conditional use is in accordance with <br />the objectives of the zoning ordinance and the purpose of the <br />district in which the site is located. <br />The subject site is zoned Planned Unit Development- Industrial (PUD-I), <br />where the development plan includes a common landscape area. The <br />proposed after school program would not alter in any way the existing <br />landscaping area. In addition, the operation of the after school program <br />would not interfere with surrounding businesses' ability to operate as all <br />related activities would be held inside the building. The anticipated <br />number of employees and school children will not generate any unusual <br />demands on the existing parking for the office complex or the surrounding <br />properties. Furthermore, the applicant will be required to mitigate any <br />nuisances that may occur as a result of the proposed after school program. <br />The proposed location of the conditional use and the conditions <br />under which it would be operated or maintained will not be <br />detrimental to the public health, safety, or welfare, or materially <br />injurious to the properties or improvements in the vicinity. <br />
