PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. PC-2003-33 RESOLUTION APPROVING CASE PUD-81-30-64D-2M, THE APPLICATION OF ROCHE MOLECULAR DIAGNOSTICS FOR PUD DESIGN REVIEW WHEREAS, Roche Molecular Diagnostics has applied for design review approval to construct a two-story, 39,133-square-foot office building and 71 additional parking spaces at its existing 33-acre campus located at 4300 Hacienda Drive in the Hacienda Business Park (Lot 6); and WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development) - I/C/O (Industrial/Commercial/Office) District; and WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of August 13, 2003, the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the City staff concerning this application; and WHEREAS, environmental review for the proposed project was undertaken with the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the Hacienda Business Park certified by the City Council on June 8, 1982; and WHEREAS, there are no substantial changes to the project or to the circumstances under which the project is undertaken that involve new significant environmental effects or substantially increase the severity of previously identified effects, and there is no new information of substantial importance not known at the time the environmental impact report was certified regarding the project or its effects, mitigation measures, or alternatives; therefore, no additional environmental documentation was prepared for this application; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed project would adhere to the requirements of the Hacienda Design Guidelines and would be an attractive and compatible addition to the existing buildings on the Roche campus and to Hacienda Business Park.
