PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-2003-33 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING CASE PUD-81-30-64D-2M, THE APPLICATION OF <br />ROCHE MOLECULAR DIAGNOSTICS FOR PUD DESIGN REVIEW <br />WHEREAS, Roche Molecular Diagnostics has applied for design review approval to construct a <br />two-story, 39,133-square-foot office building and 71 additional parking spaces at its <br />existing 33-acre campus located at 4300 Hacienda Drive in the Hacienda Business <br />Park (Lot 6); and <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development) - I/C/O <br />(Industrial/Commercial/Office) District; and <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of August 13, 2003, the Planning Commission <br />considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the <br />City staff concerning this application; and <br />WHEREAS, environmental review for the proposed project was undertaken with the <br />Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the Hacienda Business Park certified by <br />the City Council on June 8, 1982; and <br />WHEREAS, there are no substantial changes to the project or to the circumstances under which <br />the project is undertaken that involve new significant environmental effects or <br />substantially increase the severity of previously identified effects, and there is no <br />new information of substantial importance not known at the time the <br />environmental impact report was certified regarding the project or its effects, <br />mitigation measures, or alternatives; therefore, no additional environmental <br />documentation was prepared for this application; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed project would adhere to <br />the requirements of the Hacienda Design Guidelines and would be an attractive <br />and compatible addition to the existing buildings on the Roche campus and to <br />Hacienda Business Park. <br />
