THE CITY OF 2 <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pLEASANTON <br /> March 23, 2020 <br /> City Manager <br /> City Attorney <br /> TITLE: APPROVE A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PLEASANTON DELEGATING AUTHORITY TO THE CITY MANAGER OR <br /> HIS DESIGNEE TO AWARD CONTRACTS AND TO EXECUTE <br /> AGREEMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DURING <br /> THE EXISTENCE OF A LOCAL EMERGENCY <br /> SUMMARY <br /> This item is to allow for the streamlined issuance of contracts needed for the on-going <br /> operation of the City during the existence of a local emergency. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> It is recommended that the City Council approve a resolution delegating authority to the <br /> City Manager or his designee to award contracts and to execute agreements on the <br /> behalf of the City during the existence of a local emergency. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> Financial changes resulting from the approval of the proposed resolution will be publicly <br /> reported. <br />
