Although a specific project,
the Taco Bell drive-through restaurant, is not under consideration at this time, staff has
outlined the details of the site plan and building design included by the applicant as part
of their request, and provides initial analysis of the restaurant project in the analysis
section of this agenda report. Depending on the outcome of the City Council's
consideration of this Major Modification, a project similar to that described may come
forward to the Planning Commission as part of a separate future CUP and DR
application.
If approved, the proposed Taco Bell would demolish all existing site improvements
including removal of the approximately 1,737-square-foot, single-story, vacant oil
changing facility, all paved parking spaces, landscaping and three existing trees within
the interior of "Pad B." "Pad B" would be redeveloped with an approximately 1,649-
square-foot drive-through restaurant and related site improvements (see Figures 2 and
3).
