Back then,I didn't understand what that meant. Fast forward middle school, there has <br /> been some talk that some middle school kids are actually vaping, whether they are in PMS or Hart. I believe <br /> vaping is becoming a big issue in Pleasanton. <br /> I read from Countertobacco.org, <br /> Documents obtained from tobacco companies show evidence that corporate marketers have targeted <br /> convenience stores, grocery stores, and other tobacco vendors near schools and playgrounds in an effort to <br /> attract young smokers. Research shows that schools with more stores within walking distance have a higher <br /> smoking prevalence than schools with fewer retailers nearby. <br /> I strongly support the Youth Commission's recommendation to restrict the sale of tobacco products within <br /> 1,000 feet of schools. <br /> I- know that we, as a community can count on you to think about the welfare of Pleasanton youth and help pass <br /> this resolution. <br /> Thank you and have a great day! <br /> - Connor Lam <br />
