FOR THE BASKETBALL COURT RESURFACING <br /> AT MEADOWLARK AND KEN MERCER SPORTS PARKS PROJECT, CIP <br /> NO. 20744 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The basketball court resurfacing at Meadowlark Park and Ken Mercer Sports Park <br /> consisted of resurfacing two basketball courts using a slip-sheet overlay system, <br /> installing new basketball standards at Ken Mercer Sports Park, installing new asphalt to <br /> replace uplifted pavement, and replacing damaged concrete bands around the courts. <br /> Construction of all work is complete and ready for acceptance. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Accept the improvements for the project and authorize the City Clerk to file a <br /> Notice of Completion. <br /> 2. Authorize payment of the retention in the amount of $8,059 to Vintage Contractors, <br /> Inc. 30 days after recordation of the Notice of Completion. <br /> 3. Transfer the project balance to the Annual Court Resurfacing Project, <br /> CIP No. 21744. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The CIP project budget for the basketball court resurfacing was $171,155. The cost of <br /> construction was $161,180, including change orders in the amount of $7,630. Total <br /> project expenditures, including design, construction, and other miscellaneous expenses <br /> was $164,261. Project funding and expenditures are outlined in Attachment 1. <br />
