Ordinance No. <br /> Page 30 <br /> Bicycle Parking <br /> 121 . BICYCLE PARKING: Projects with 20 or more vehicle parking spaces shall <br /> provide minimum bicycle parking equivalent to five percent of the total number of <br /> vehicle parking spaces, with a maximum of 20 required bicycle parking spaces. <br /> Bicycle parking shall be shown on the building permit plans for review and <br /> approval by the Traffic Engineering Division prior to building permit submittal. <br /> 122. BICYCLE RACKS: All bicycle racks shall comply with the following criteria: <br /> a. Located in a visible and accessible location; <br /> b. Support the frame of the bicycle and not just one wheel; <br /> c. Allow the frame and one wheel to be locked to the rack; <br /> d. Allow the use of either a cable or U-shaped lock; <br /> e. Be securely anchored; <br /> f. Be usable by bikes with no kickstand; and <br /> g. Be usable by a wide variety of bicycle sizes and types. <br /> The number, location and type of bicycle racks shall be shown on the building <br /> permit plans and shall be subject to review and approval by the City Traffic <br /> Engineer prior to issuance of building permits. <br /> Traffic Control <br /> 123. TRAFFIC CONTROL PLAN (TCP): A comprehensive traffic control plan shall be <br /> submitted to the City Traffic Engineer for review and approval. Best management <br /> practices to minimize traffic impacts shall be used during construction, including <br /> scheduling of major truck trips and deliveries, to avoid peak travel hours. The <br /> TCP shall have proper lane closure procedures such as flagger stations, <br /> signage, cones, and other warning devices implemented during construction. The <br /> TCP shall also include time of day/hours of lane closures and total number of <br /> days. <br /> 124. TRAFFIC IMPACT FEES: The applicant shall pay any traffic impact fees for the <br /> development as determined by the City Traffic Engineer. The fee shall be paid <br /> prior to building permit issuance. <br /> END <br />
