Exhibit A
ARCHITECTURE
September 25, 2019
Steve Kirkpatrick
City Engineer
City of Pleasanton
123 Main Street
Pleasanton, California 94566
RE: Architectural Services - Fire Station 2 Privacy Needs Assessment
Dear Steve,
I appreciate the request to provide a proposal to work with the City to analyze the
existing fire station 2 to determine potential modifications to provide improved
privacy and the required improvements to address the concerns.
I have based this proposal on our conversations regarding this station. It is
understood that the suggested improvements may necessitate additional
upgrades to accessibility compliance, fire rated construction, egress
requirements, etc.
Please note that this proposal is based on the scope of services that we believe
is necessary to successfully complete this project. If there are scope items that
are not included, or that are not necessary, we would be pleased to adjust the
scope and fee to meet your needs.
We are proposing to offer the following scope of services:
FIELD INVESTIGATION / NEEDS ASSESSMENT PHASE
Field investigation of Station 2, to confirm any changed conditions from
prior field investigation.
Meeting the Stakeholders, including City staff and fire personnel to
discuss design alternatives at the station.
Meet with Building Official to discuss proposed modifications and potential
related improvements to meet current code requirements which may be
triggered by modifications.
Prepare potential modification plans
28o Bettencourt Street Sonoma, CA 95476
www jeffkatzarchitecture.com
