Cigars. sold,in 5 packs Cigarillos sold in 3 packs Little cigars sold individually <br />Proposed to be exempt from the minimum pack size requirements are:: (a) premium . <br />cigars with a minimum.cost of $10.00 per.cigar; (b) hand -rolled cigars; or (c) cigars <br />which are.sold at retail establishments where only persons age -21 or older are allowed. <br />These exemptions -address providing choices to adults age 21 or older, while retaining <br />price sensitivity to discourage underage smoking: <br />However, at the Youth Commission's November 13th meeting'. speakers recommended <br />that the Youth -Commission also consider minimum pricing for tobacco products, and <br />additionally to disallow discounts or coupons. The Youth Commission considered the <br />rationale about -low-priced tobacco -products. being attractive to underage persons and <br />made minimum pricing part of its recommendation. <br />Retailers concerns about minimum pack:sizes and pricing include:. proposal about pack <br />sizes do not reflect manufacturers actual pack sizes; and need clarity about exemptions. <br />The.
