Youth Commission working on the issue of tobacco prohibitions and E -cigarettes and considering 4 or 5 Ordinances to send to City Council for consideration. These draft ordinances will be considered by the Youth Commission at their next meeting and then presented to the Economic Vitality Committee and the Planning Commission for their review and consideration before going to City Council. d. The request for allowing youth members on commissions be allowed to vote will be forwarded to City Council for their consideration. Commissioner Hayes commented on the decision that had been made by the Human Services Commission on this matter and questioned whether the recommendation to City Council from the Youth Commission would be for youth members on all commissions to be allowed to vote and whether the decision of the Human Services Commission would also be presented to City Council. Commissioner Clare felt being able to vote on the Human Services Commission required the youth member to have depth and they don't obtain this by being on the commission for only a short time. Mr. Ingram advised that the Youth Commission had an option to override the decision recommended by the Human Services Commission and City Council may make their decision based on the what this commission had recommended. Commission Clare indicated she had concerns with the process. Commission Rubino-Brumm felt that City Council would take the Human Services recommendation into consideration when they make their decision. e. The City is working together with the Chamber of Commerce and the Pleasanton Unified School District on outreach for vaping issues. FUTURE AGENDA TOPICS None.
