BACKGROUND <br /> ACCO Engineering Systems is the City's HVAC maintenance contractor. Per the <br /> agreement, ACCO is responsible for quarterly and annual maintenance and emergency <br /> repairs for 20 City facilities. Recently, several facilities experienced system failures; <br /> including the compressor at 123 Main Street and Callippe Preserve Pro Shop, and <br /> complete unit replacements at 157 Main Street and Fire Station #4. Staff is estimating <br /> an additional $300,000 would cover these emergency repairs costs and any future <br /> emergency repairs through the term of the contract. <br /> DISCUSSION <br /> Engineering is currently working on a Capital Improvement Project (CIP) for the <br /> replacement of roofs and HVAC systems for FY 2019/20. The facilities included in the <br /> project are 123 Main Street, 157 Main Street, Amador Theater, Police Station and <br /> potentially the Library.
