F. CityServe of the Tri -Valley — Mr. Ingram advised that a recent meeting was well attended <br />with approximately 60+ people. He believes CityServe will be trying to schedule meetings <br />every other month, but a day has not yet been determined. Commissioner Powers <br />commented on the number of furniture donations received for veterans. <br />Commissioner. Hayes suggested someone at CityServe.be asked, to do a presentation at <br />one of the commission meetings. <br />COMMISSION COMMENTS <br />Commissioner Sedlak asked about his- comment at the previous meeting on holding a Human <br />Services Commission meeting at the Senior Center. Mr. Ingram indicated that staff will check <br />into this as the commission can _have a discussion on this topic while considering. their 2020._ <br />meeting schedule. <br />Commissioner Carlucci commented on a .recent ride -along he had with Meals -on -Wheels ,and <br />how it -provided him with a better perspective of what they do. He questioned whether doing <br />this was something typically done by members.of the commission. <br />Commissioner Clare indicated there are several opportunities for commissioners to do these <br />types of things. <br />Mr. Ingram indicated.that staff could reach out to agencies and discuss possible impromptu <br />visits with them and -provide information back to commissioners. <br />Commissioner Clare provided information about the Senior Center Lunch -Program, Senior <br />Support Services and Wellness visits. <br />STAFF COMMENTS <br />None. <br />FUTURE AGENDA TOPICS <br />Mr. Ingram provided a brief report on potential items for the November meeting. <br />'ADJOURNMENT <br />There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:58 p.m. <br />NEXT MEETING <br />November 6, 2019 <br />Human Services Commission <br />October 2, 2019 <br />Page 5. <br />
