Park Project Status Report for April 2019 — June 2019 <br />Mr. Gruber reviewed the Park Projects Status Report for April 2019 -June 2019 with <br />commissioners commenting on projects as follows: <br />Lions Wayside and Delucchi Parks — when City Council adopted their two-year work plan on <br />March 19, 2019 the Wayside and Delucchi Parks project was prioritized. Staff has been in <br />contact with Brian Wines at the Regional to set-up a meeting to discuss schematic plans and <br />a path to move forward with this project. <br />Pleasanton Pioneer Cemetery- Design development plans for the Entry and Wayfinding <br />Imp rovements. were submitted to and reviewed by City staff in April and 65% of construction <br />documents were submitted to the City on May 31 st and 90% on June 21 st <br />Valley Trails Park — City Council approved the tot lot location and awarded a purchase order <br />with Ross Recreation for installation of the playground on June 18, 2019. <br />Trails Master Plan — was adopted by City Council on May 9, 2019. <br />Basketball Court Replacements — Project design is complete and the project is out to bid. <br />The City compiled construction documents for resurfacing two basketball courts at <br />Meadowlark and Ken Mercer Sports Park in June, however, bids have come in too high so <br />staff is considering what to do. <br />Bocce Ball Court Renovation — Design is underway. In June the City directed the consultant <br />to begin working on construction documents for the bocce ball court renovation based on <br />recommendation from the Parks and Recreation Commission and should be moving forward <br />for bids by the end of the year. A maintenance contractor will be sought. <br />Transportation Corridor Parking Lot - Conceptual plans were presented to City Council on <br />June 18, 2019. The proposed design included a 140 -stall parking lot with lighting and shade <br />trees, a trail that was a minimum of 8 -ft. wide, with associated site, landscape, and irrigation <br />improvements. Council directed staff to provide a trail that is a minimum of 9 -ft wide. <br />Designs are underway to increase the trail from 8 -ft to 10 -ft. <br />Parks and Recreation Commission <br />August 8, 2019 <br />Page 2 <br />
