THE CITY OF � O <br />-„ ifi :�i .:.. � ��= CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />j'L�£�S�4NTON� <br />October 1, 2019 <br />Engineering <br />TITLE: ACCEPT PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS PERFORMED BY MIDPEN <br />HOUSING CORPORATION, INC. FOR KOTTINGER GARDENS <br />PHASE II LOCATED AT 251 KOTTINGER DRIVE <br />SUMMARY <br />PUD -101 (Kottinger Gardens) created 185 senior homes and related site improvements <br />at 240 and 251 Kottinger Drive. Both properties are owned by the City of Pleasanton. <br />The locations of the properties are shown on Attachment One. The project was <br />constructed by MidPen Housing Corporation, Inc. in two phases. Phase One, located at <br />240 Kottinger Drive, was accepted by City Council as complete on May 15, 2018; Phase <br />Two, located at 251 Kottinger Drive, replaced the existing 40 senior homes at the <br />address with 54 senior homes, and completed the public improvements on Kottinger <br />Drive. The Phase Two improvements are now complete and ready for acceptance. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />1. Accept the public improvements constructed with Kottinger Gardens Project for <br />normal maintenance. <br />2. Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion. <br />3. Authorize the release of the related bonds. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />There will be a minimal increase to the budget for the maintenance of public <br />improvements. Tax revenue generally covers the increased cost to provide services and <br />maintain infrastructure. <br />
