Additions. <br /> <br /> Article 91 - Administrative Regulations, is hereby <br /> added to the Code as follows: <br /> <br /> 'Article 91 - Administrative Regulations. 91-1 SCOPE. <br /> <br />ii 91-2 ENFORCEMENT. <br />" 91-3 PERMITS. <br /> 91-4 FEES. <br />!' 91-5 INSPECTIONS AND CERTIFICATE. <br /> , 91-6 CONNECTION TO INSTALLATION. <br /> <br /> 250-81 WATER PIPE <br /> Exception: In all dwelling occupancies, the <br /> grounding electrode shall consist of two rein- <br /> forcing bars 1/2 inch in diameter and 20 feet <br /> long, embedded in the bottom of the concrete <br /> building foundation. Such bars shall extend <br /> in opposite directions from the electrical <br /> service equipment and shall have a clearance of <br /> three (3) inches from sides and bottom of the <br /> foundation. One end of each bar shall be bent <br /> upward 90° and shall project vertically from <br /> the foundation to a minimum of 6" above the mud <br /> sill at the service location for connection <br /> to the grounding conductor. The vertical <br /> sections of the 2 bars shall be bonded together <br /> mechanically within the area of the concrete. <br /> The connection of the grounding conductor to <br /> the electrode shall be made with an approved <br /> ground clamp which shall be readily accessible. <br /> If installed in an enclosed wall, the ground <br /> clamp shall be installed within s 4" x 4' <br /> junction box equipped with a removable blank <br /> cover plate.
