suggested waiting to make a funding recommendation until staff brings back the RFP. <br />Commissioner Sedlak mentioned that this funding would go only to one agency and <br />Commissioner Clare questioned whether that agency would be able to sub -out to other <br />agencies. <br />.A motion was made by Commissioner Hayes, seconded by Commissioner Clare, identifying <br />Health Care and Behavioral Health as the Tri -Valley critical human service. need for the multi- <br />year service agreement concept that includes the following sub -categories: <br />• Wrap around services; coordinated care between service providers, crisis. response, <br />additional providers in Pleasanton <br />• Prevention; Screening and assessments <br />• Meeting diverse cultural needs <br />• Substance abuse, coordination of service providers, transportation to specialized <br />services outside the Tri -Valley <br />• Social and cultural stigma to mental health needs . <br />Lack of subsidized dental care for low income residents <br />Insufficient reimbursement rates for providers <br />• -Domestic violence: community education/outreach/prevention in -schools and <br />community, temporary shelter for victims leaving an abusive. relationship <br />Commissioner Carlucci requested the motion be modified to include a preliminary.funding <br />I <br />mount of $35,000.
