be in the amount set forth in a fee schedule adop- <br /> ted by resolution of the City Council. Such fee <br /> shall be doubled where work for which a permit is <br /> required by this Code is started or proceeded with <br /> prior to obtaining said permit. The payment of <br /> such double fee shall not relieve any persons from <br /> fully complying with the requirements of this Code <br /> in the execution of the work nor from any other <br /> penalties prescribed by Ordinance." <br /> <br />3. Section 303(b) is amended to read as follows: <br /> "Section 303(b) Plan Checking Fees. At the time of <br /> submitting plans and specifications with the appli- <br /> cation for a building permit, a plan checking fee, <br /> in addition to the building permit fee, shall be <br /> paid to the City. The plan checking fee shall be <br /> equal to one-half of the building permit fee." <br /> <br />4. Section 1711(b) is hereby amended to read as followS: <br /> "Section 1711(b) Shower Areas. Shower areas in <br /> Groups A through I shall be finished as specified <br /> in Subsection (a) to a height of six feet (6'). <br /> Materials other than structural elements used in <br /> such wall shall be of a type which is not adversely! <br /> affected by moisture" <br /> . <br /> <br />5. Section 1601(a) is amended to read as follows: <br /> "Section 1601(a) Fire Zones Defined. For the <br /> purposes of this Code, the entire City is hereby <br /> declared to be and is hereby established a Fire <br /> District and said Fire District shall be known and <br /> designated as Fire Zones One, Two and Three. Fire <br /> Zone One shall include the area bounded by Main <br /> Street, Division Street, a line parallel to and <br /> 250 feet westerly of the centerline of Main Street <br /> and a line parallel to and 100 feet northerly of <br /> the centerline of Division Street. Fire Zone Two <br /> shall include the area bounded by the Arroyo del Vail% <br /> the Southern Pacific Company railroad right-of-way,! <br /> a line parallel to and 250 feet west of the center-~ <br /> line of Main Street excepting therefrom Fire Zone <br /> One. Fire Zone Three shall include all areas of <br /> the City now existing or included in future annexa-] <br /> tions, which are not included in either Fire Zone <br /> One or Two." <br /> <br />6. Section 4401 is amended by adding language as fotlo~s: <br /> "Any use of public property as outlined in this <br /> chapter requires the builder to obtain an encroach-i <br /> ment permit prior to such use and is subject to thei <br /> approval of the Director of Public Works. The con-j <br /> ditions of said permit may delete, add to or modify <br /> any of the conditions of this chapter." <br /> <br />Additions. <br /> <br />1. Section 303(c) is hereby added to the code to read <br /> as follows: <br /> "Section 303(c) Inspection Fees.
