CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 616 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A UNIFORM BUILDING CODE AND AMENDING <br /> CHAPTER 3, TITLE II RELATING TO THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE <br /> AND REPEALING ANY OTHER ORDINANCES OR PARTS THEREOF IN <br /> CONFLICT THEREWITH <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, notice has been duly given and published, and hearings <br />!, held pursuant to the provisions of Article 2, Chapter 1, Division <br /> ~1, Title 5 of the Government Code relating to the adoption by <br /> reference of Uniform Codes and no sufficient protest having been <br /> made, and the best interest of the City of Pleasanton appearing <br />~ to be served by adoption of this Uniform Building Code; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br /> HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />[Section 2-12.35 of Article 1, Chapter 3, Title II of the Ordinance <br />ij Code of the City of Pleasanton is hereby amended to provide as <br /> ! follows: <br /> <br /> "62-12.35 Adoption of the Uniform Building Code ~ <br /> There is hereby adopted by the City of Pleasanton that~ <br /> certain code known as the Uniform Building Code, more parti- <br /> cularly described below, except such portions as are herein- <br /> after amended, modified or deleted, and the same is hereby <br /> adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length <br /> herein, and the same shall become in full force and effect <br /> at the time this ordinance becomes effective. <br /> <br /> Said Uniform Building Code is the UNIFORM BUILDING <br /> CODE 19Z0 EDITION, VOLUME 1, AND APPENDIX, and THE UNIFORM <br /> BUILDING CODE STANDARDS 19Z0 EDITION, a certified copy of <br /> which is on file with the City Clerk of the City of <br /> Pleasanton." <br /> <br /> II. <br /> <br />62-12.36 of Article 1, Chapter 3, Title II of the Ordinance Code <br />of the City of Pleasanton dealing with amendments and modifications <br />!to and deletions from the adopted Uniform Building Code is hereby <br />l!amended so as to provide as follows: <br /> <br />r "62-12.36 Amendments, Modifications, Additions tO and Deletions <br /> from the Adopted Code. <br /> The Adopted Code is hereby changed in <br /> the following respects: <br /> <br /> a. Amendments or Modifications. <br /> 1. Wherever in the Adopted Code the words Building <br /> Official are used they shall mean the Director of <br /> Public Works of the City of Pleasanton or his <br /> agent as defined in Article 2 of this Chapter <br />~. relating to Enforcement. <br /> <br /> 2. Section 303(a) is amended to read as follows: <br /> "Section 303(a) Building Permit Fees. A fee for <br /> each building permit shall be paid to the City <br /> prior to issuance of the permit.
