THE CITY OF 1 8 <br /> cA„f1. <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pLEASANTON <br /> August 20, 2019 <br /> Operations Services <br /> TITLE: APPROVE AGREEMENT WITH PRECISION CONCRETE CUTTING IN <br /> THE AMOUNT OF $600,000 FOR SIDEWALK MAINTENANCE <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The Operations Services Department oversees the maintenance service agreement for <br /> city-wide sidewalk maintenance and repair. The current as-needed agreement with <br /> Precision Concrete Cutting expired on June 30, 2019, who has been the sole source <br /> contractor due to their patented method and equipment for repairing sidewalks offsets. <br /> The term for the new agreement with Precision Concrete Cutting is three years with the <br /> option for two additional one-year extensions. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute a three-year maintenance service <br /> agreement with Precision Concrete Cutting for sidewalk maintenance and repair with <br /> the option for two additional one-year extensions for a total of $600,000 with a not-to- <br /> exceed amount of $200,000 per fiscal year. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> Funding for sidewalk maintenance is appropriated in the Capital Improvement Program <br /> and Streets maintenance budgets. The total compensation for the first three years of the <br /> agreement is $600,000. <br />
