THE CITY OF 1 7 <br /> ° CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pL-E ASANTON. <br /> August 20, 2019 <br /> Operations Services <br /> TITLE: APPROVE AMENDMENT TO AS-NEEDED CONTRACT LIMIT WITH <br /> VIVID ACCENT PAINTING TO $215,000 FOR THE DOWNTOWN <br /> STREET LIGHT POLE PAINTING <br /> SUMMARY <br /> As part of the Downtown Beautification Plan, a project to re-paint the downtown <br /> streetlight poles was established. The scope of the project included scraping, priming, <br /> and re-painting 100 streetlight poles located on Main Street from Bernal to Del Valle. <br /> After an informal bid process, Vivid Accent Painting was selected. <br /> The City currently has an as-needed contract for painting services with Vivid Accent <br /> Painting for FY 2019/20. Staff is requesting to amend the existing as-needed contract to <br /> include the downtown pole painting project and increase the contract limit from <br /> $100,000 to $215,000. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Authorize the City Manager to amend the agreement with Vivid Accent Painting by <br /> increasing the not to exceed contract amount to $215,000 for FY 2019/20. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> Funding for the downtown pole painting project is in the Downtown Beautification Fund. <br />
