Alameda County Advisory Commission on Aging <br />Current commission representative: Vacant <br />Meeting schedule: Second Monday of the month <br />Meeting location: 6955 Foothill Blvd. Suite 300, Oakland <br />Meeting time: 9:30 a.m. <br />Meeting purpose: Act as an independent advocate for older persons as mandated by <br />..the Older Americans Act, and the Mello-Granlund Older Californians Act by taking <br />positions on matters pertaining to federal, state and local policies, programs and <br />procedures, and any legislation affecting older persons. <br />Tri -Valley Anti -Poverty Collaborative <br />Current commission representative: Meera Parikh <br />Meeting schedule: Third Thursday of January, April, July and October. <br />Meeting location: 3333 Busch Road - Operations Services Center <br />Meeting time: 1:30-3:30 p.m. <br />Meeting purpose: Support a community. where struggling residents across the. region <br />can achieve a basic standard of living in housing, health care, nourishment, education <br />and sustainable financial resources. <br />All IN Alameda County <br />Current commission representative: Mike Sedlak <br />Meeting schedule: Third Wednesday of each month (skip August and December) <br />Meeting location: 1221 Oak Street, Oakland, Room 225 County Administration Building <br />Meeting time,: 1-3 p.m. <br />Meeting purpose: Make significant progress towards the ambitious goal of ending <br />poverty in Alameda County. ALL IN's primary strategies are collaboration and <br />innovation. <br />The ALL IN Steering Committee is chaired by Supervisors Wilma Chan and Nate Miley. <br />The membership of the steering committee includes leadership from a variety of county <br />departments, community-based organizations, and community members.
