The project as bid includes a conservative $50,000 allowance for furnishings, window <br /> coverings and furniture for staff workspaces. Payments to the contractor will be made <br /> based upon actual costs for these items. Finally, $20,000 is budgeted to cover the cost <br /> for the temporary relocation of staff out of building to allow construction, and back into <br /> the building following construction. <br /> The funding and anticipated project expenditures are detailed in Attachment 1. <br /> Schedule <br /> Fieldhouse renovation work is anticipated to start in August 2019. This work will require <br /> Library and Recreation staff to move out of the building. However, the softball fields, <br /> restrooms, scorekeeper's booths, and the concession stand will remain in service until <br /> league play wraps up at the end of October. This is possible as the fields and facilities <br /> are typically utilized by the leagues after 4:30 p.m. when the contractor will be finished <br /> for the day. Temporary fencing will be installed, isolating the closed components of the <br /> building from the public. Starting November 1, 2019, the entire facility will close allowing <br /> the improvements to the restrooms and all other remaining work to proceed.
