Vice Mayor Brown opened the public comment.
Andrew Lambert spoke in support of the skate dark and the all-access playground. He asked
about the design and construction completion timeline and whether there will be a subcommittee
established to ensure the process proceeds satisfactorily.
Assistant City Manager Dolan reported the Council priority was for design which has been funded.
The City envisions a robust public process, working through the Parks and Recreation
Commission and interested parties. Once the design and costs are determined, Council will
consider funding.
City Manager Fialho added the Youth Commission will also be included in the process and
encouraged volunteers to participate in the public process. Funds that are not spent will go back
into the construction part of the project and staff anticipates the design will take about a year to
sixteen months. He added the location will be next to the existing skate park but sensed the Park
and Recreation Commission will discuss the possibility of another location.
Vice Mayor Brown closed the public comment.
MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL - None
COUNCIL REPORTS
Councilmember Narum reported attending the opening of the Axis Dental Clinic in Dublin and reported
subsequent to their soft opening they had already seen over 600 patients since February.
Vice Mayor Brown reported attending an event hosted by The Registry at Hacienda Business Park and
reported she and Councilmember Pentin are on the Wheels Bus Board and they approved bus support
for PSUD through Wheels LAFTA.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:48 p.m. The Council extended a
tribute to our nation's men and women serving in the military.
