Resolution No. PC-2019-10 <br /> Page Three <br /> with trees to be planted along the perimeter of the project and the Stoneridge Mall Road street <br /> frontage. <br /> SECTION 3: The Planning Commission hereby approves Case P18-0340, the application of <br /> Simon Property Group on behalf of Stoneridge Properties LLC, for Design Review approval to <br /> demolish the existing Sears Department store (approximately 176,151-square-feet) and <br /> parking structure, and construct a 258,000-square-foot development including new retail, <br /> grocery, cinema, and specialty lifestyle health club uses (net increase of 79,269 square feet) at <br /> the Stoneridge Shopping Center located at 1700 Stoneridge Mall Road, subject to the <br /> Conditions of Approval shown in Attachment 1 , attached hereto and made part of this case by <br /> reference. <br /> SECTION 4: This resolution shall become effective 15 days after its passage and adoption <br /> unless: 1) appealed prior to that time by any member of the public, or 2) if a City <br /> Councilmember wishes to review the item, pursuant to Pleasanton Municipal Code section <br /> 18.144.010, he or she must indicate their desire to review within 15 days following the date of <br /> approval, or at the next regular meeting of the City Council, whichever is later. The new buildings would be attractive and well designed <br /> to include a range of materials and finishes that are compatible with the existing Mall and <br /> surrounding buildings. The project would also install new street improvements and right-of-way <br /> dedication to allow for future expansion of Stoneridge Mall Road and include new landscaping <br />regoing, the Planning Commission finds that pursuant to CEQA Guidelines <br /> Section 15183, Projects Consistent with a Community Plan, General Plan, or Zoning, <br /> additional environmental review is not required because there are no project-specific <br /> significant effects that are peculiar to the project or its site that would result from the proposed <br />t of any work. <br /> P18-0225 Planning Commission <br /> Page 2 of 3 <br />he project or any permit authorized hereby for the <br /> project, including without limitation, reimbursing the City its attorneys' fees and costs incurred in <br /> defense of the litigation.
