hour, a rate of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00)per hour for each hour above and beyond an hour <br /> may be assessed as liquidated damages. <br /> Storage of Equipment - The Contractor must provide its own storage for equipment such as <br /> sweeping machines, brooms, tires, gas, oil, and other required parts and materials. The City will not <br /> provide storage for any Contractor equipment. <br /> 4. Communications and Reports <br /> Office - The Contractor shall maintain an office or such other facility through which he/she can be <br /> contacted and from which he/she can maintain radio or pager contract with the sweeping vehicles. It <br /> shall be equipped with sufficient telephones and shall have a responsible person in charge from 8:00 <br /> a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays. The Contractor shall also provide a 24- <br /> hour emergency contact telephone number. <br /> Complaints - Complaints regarding the street sweeping operations, which the Operations <br /> Superintendent considers justifiable and the responsibility of the Contractor, will be referred to the <br /> Contractor for immediate attention. Within two (2) days, the Contract shall submit to the Operations <br /> Superintendent a report of the action taken on each complaint. <br /> Reports - Contractor shall submit a monthly report of curb miles swept by zones. <br /> Global Position System (GPS) Tracking - All street sweepers shall have installed a Global <br /> Positioning System (GPS)that will enable the City to view via computer internet where the <br /> sweepers are at all times. The cost of the GPS will be the responsibility of the successful bidder and <br /> the system must be capable of the following: <br /> The GPS shall be Internet based and the Contractor shall provide the City two (2) accounts to have <br /> full access to the site. <br /> • The system shall be capable of gathering and reporting the following real time data; <br /> speed, direction, location on a map, address, and distance travelled. <br /> • The sweeper's path of travel shall be superimposed on the map. <br /> • Generate daily reports of sweep activity including the items listed above. <br /> 5. Damages <br /> All damages shall be reported by Contractor to the City to determine repair responsibilities. <br /> Page 1 10 <br />
