FOR ANNUAL TREE TRIMMING AND REMOVAL, <br /> INVENTORY MANAGEMENT, AND ARBORIST SERVICES FOR THE NOT- <br /> TO-EXCEED AMOUNT OF $629,200 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The Parks Division of the Operations Services Department is responsible for managing <br /> tree trimming and removal services within the City and has been under contract with <br /> West Coast Arborist (WCA) since July of 2015. WCA provides consulting services and <br /> maintains trees throughout City parks, medians, parking strips, and facility landscapes. It <br /> is recommended to extend the term of their contract one additional year for a not-to- <br /> exceed amount of $629,000 for tree trimming and removal, inventory management, and <br /> arborist services. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute the amendment with West Coast <br /> Arborist to extend the term of the contract one additional year for a not-to-exceed <br /> amount to $629,200. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> Funding for tree services is allocated in the FY2019/20 Parks Renovation Fund and the <br /> Engineering Department Budget. The total compensation of the agreement for <br /> FY2019/20 is $629,200, which includes an estimated increase based on the annual <br /> Consumers Price Index adjustment and a ten percent contingency for unforeseen <br /> circumstances and related extra services as determined to be necessary by the City. <br />
