2. Schedule <br /> a. Contractor shall perform services on the days of Monday through <br /> Friday, as shown in the attached Schedule B. After obtaining prior <br /> approval from the Parks Superintendent the Contractor may alter the days <br /> in which service will be performed at each specific site, so long as each <br /> site receives service at least one day per week, except the Pleasanton <br /> Sports and Recreation Park Phases I, V, and the Softball Complex; <br /> Pleasanton Tennis and Community, Val Vista Community, Muirwood, <br /> Creekside, Amador Valley Community, Fairlands, Orloff, Alviso Adobe, <br /> Mission Hills, BMX and Cubby's Dog Park, which shall receive service <br /> twice per week. The entrance to the library at the Civic Center shall <br /> receive daily service, Monday through Friday. <br /> b. During weeks in which there is a holiday, Contractor shall perform <br /> all work at all sites during the remaining workdays of that week. If a <br /> holiday should fall on a Monday, then work at all sites that are serviced <br /> twice weekly shall be performed on the immediate Tuesday. If a holiday <br /> should fall on a Friday, work at all sites serviced twice weekly shall be <br /> performed on the preceding Thursday. <br /> c. Schedule B indicates the location, number of waste and recycle <br /> receptacles at each location, and the frequency of work to be performed. <br /> d. An updated schedule for service shall be provided by the <br /> Contractor each time there is a permanent adjustment to the service level <br /> or frequency. <br /> e. Vehicle access will be permitted at each location under the <br /> following conditions: <br /> i. Vehicle access is limited to the sidewalk. At no time shall <br /> the Contractor drive vehicles on the turf, basketball courts, or other <br /> landscaped or hardscaped area(s). <br /> ii. At park locations where sidewalk access is permitted,the <br /> Contractor will be required to temporarily remove a bollard for <br /> access. Upon leaving each park site the Contractor shall replace all <br /> bollards that he has moved. <br /> iii. At times Contractor may be required to walk to receptacle <br /> and carry trash bags back to their vehicle. <br /> iv. The Contractor must drive slowly and carefully while <br /> performing collection and yield to park users. <br /> 3. Annual Trash Volume <br /> a. Trash volumes vary from month-to-month depending upon the <br /> seasonal recreational activities taking place within the park system. In <br /> general, the largest trash volumes are generated for the 8-9 months <br /> from March thru November, with December thru February being the low <br />
