THE CITY OF <br /> 8 <br /> • "' "' 21=1 '"' CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pLEASANTON. <br /> June 18, 2019 <br /> Community Development <br /> Traffic Engineering Division <br /> TITLE: APPROVE THE AS-NEEDED AGREEMENT WITH WOMACK STRIPING <br /> FOR PAVEMENT LINE MARKER AND STREET SIGN INSTALLATION <br /> SERVICES <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The City uses a contractor for larger pavement line marker and street sign installation <br /> and repair projects. The as-needed contract has a $50,000 annual maximum. Staff <br /> solicited proposals for an as-needed pavement striping and signage services contract <br /> and received three proposals, with Womack Striping submitting the lowest qualified <br /> proposal. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Review the submitted proposals and award the as-needed pavement striping and <br /> signage services contract to Womack Striping. <br /> 2. Authorize the City Manager to enter into the as-needed maintenance contract. <br /> 3. Authorize the Community Development Director to review and approve future <br /> contract extensions per the provisions of the contract. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> Funding for the use of a pavement striping and signage contractor is included in the <br /> Capital Improvement Program budget. The pavement striping and signage budget is <br /> $50,000 in each year, for fiscal years 2019-20 and 2020-21, and utilizes Gas Tax <br /> funding. <br />
