FOR THE BASKETBALL COURT RESURFACING <br /> AT TENNIS AND COMMUNITY PARK, TAWNY PARK AND MEADOWS <br /> PARK PROJECT, CIP NO. 18744 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The Basketball Court Resurfacing at Tennis and Community Park, Tawny Park and <br /> Meadows Park Project consisted of resurfacing five basketball courts using a slip sheet <br /> overlay system, installing new basketball standards at all courts, replacing damaged <br /> concrete around the courts, and installing new benches and trash receptacles at Tennis <br /> and Community Park. Construction of all work is complete and ready for acceptance. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Accept the improvements for the project. <br /> 2. Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion. <br /> 3. Authorize payment of the retention in the amount of $20,421 to Vintage <br /> Contractors, Inc. 30 days after recordation of the Notice of Completion. <br /> 4. Return the project balance to the Park and Median Renovation Fund. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The CIP project budget for the basketball court resurfacing was $500,000. Project <br /> expenditures totaled $420,016, leaving a project balance of $79,984 as outlined in <br /> Attachment 1. Staff recommends the returning the project balance to the Park and <br /> Median Renovation Fund. <br />
