A. Senior Program Advisory Committee — Commissioner Clare provided information about.the <br />Volunteer Recognition Event and Alameda County Agency for Aging doing a survey for seniors <br />trying to collect information to make decisions on how services are provided. <br />B. Pleasanton Paratransit Task Force Commissioner Clare commented on Measure BB <br />funds that had allow for conducting a study for Paratransit that has now been finished and a <br />recommendation will be taken to City Council. <br />Mr. Ingram advised that results from the study will be going to City Council at their .May 7th <br />meeting. He commented on the four recommendations that are being made with three <br />applying to Pleasanton and one to LAVTA and advised that city and LAVTA staff will be asked <br />to work together on these and the focus for city staff will be to improve transportation for users. <br />Commissioner Rubino Brumm commented on issues her son has had with transportation and <br />Vice Chairperson Sedlak agreed with the issues. <br />C. Ptownlife Resource Network — no report <br />D. Alameda County Advisory Commission on Aging no report. <br />E. Tri -Valley Anti -Poverty Collaborative — no report. <br />F. All inAlameda County — no report. <br />COMMISSION COMMENTS <br />A. Commissioner Clare commented on an "Equity & Diversity" Resolution being put in place <br />by the Pleasanton Unified School District. She thought it was something the Commission or <br />City should also address. <br />Commissioner Lem asked for additional information about the Resolution. Commissioner <br />Clare indicated that it had begun with a student writing something that was inappropriate and <br />advised that the Resolution states: "Our District data shows that not all students are achieving <br />at their full potential. Addressing disparities in educational access and opportunity are the <br />responsibility of every adult in the Pleasanton Unified School District, and not the responsibility <br />of our children. Inequality in outcomes will be addressed through the implementation of <br />systemic structures to support. all students without school system." <br />Mr. Ingram question whether this had something to do with Unity Day. Commissioner- Clare <br />felt that PU.SD was thinking that more on this matter needed to get out to the community and <br />she was wondering about the role of this commission and the City of Pleasanton. <br />Commissioner Hayes commented on updating of the Strategic Plan and . information that had <br />been brought to .the attention of the commission.
