THE CITY OF 12 pLEASANTON CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT June 4, 2019 Operations Services TITLE: APPROVE THIRD AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT WITH TERRA LANDSCAPE FOR CITY-WIDE MEDIAN MAINTENANCE SERVICES AND MAIN STREET PLANTER BOWL MAINTENANCE FOR THE NOT-TO- EXCEED AMOUNT OF $629,000 SUMMARY The Parks Division of the Operations Services Department is responsible for landscape services for street medians, Main Street planter bowls, and Main Street sidewalk, curb, and gutter maintenance. The City has been under contract with Terra Landscape, since September of 2016 to perform maintenance services for the aforementioned locations. Due to an improved planting and maintenance plan for the Main Street planter bowls, Terra Landscape is nearing its contract compensation limit. It is recommended to increase the contract $95,000 to a not-to-exceed total contract amount of $629,000 and extend the term of the contract one additional year for median and Main Street planter bowl maintenance. RECOMMENDATION Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute the amendment with Terra Landscape to increase the not-to-exceed amount to $629,000, for FY 2018/19 and 2019/20 and to extend the term of the contract one additional year. FINANCIAL STATEMENT The cost to complete the additional Main Street planter bowl maintenance is $95,000 and funding for the contract with Terra Landscape is partially funded by the one-time Downtown Beautification Fund and the Parks Maintenance operational budget under contract services. Funding for on-going median and Main Street planter bowl maintenance is included in the FY 2019/20 Parks Maintenance Division budget.
