THE CITY OF 1 3 <br /> - - CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> LASToi. <br /> June 4, 2019 <br /> Operations Services <br /> TITLE: APPROVE FOURTH AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT WITH TERRA <br /> LANDSCAPE FOR CITY-WIDE WEED ABATEMENT SERVICES FOR A <br /> NOT-TO-EXCEED AMOUNT OF $145,000 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The Parks Division of the Operations Services Department is responsible for managing <br /> weed abatement services within the City and has been under contract with Terra <br /> Landscape Services since November of 2015. Terra Landscape services various weed <br /> abatement sites throughout the city including roadsides, drainage ditches, curbs and <br /> sidewalks, industrial sites, bioswales, and open space parcels. An additional forty-one <br /> locations were added during this contract period and Terra Landscape is nearing its <br /> contract compensation threshold and term limit. It is recommended to increase the <br /> contract with Terra Landscape an additional $50,000 for a not to exceed total contract <br /> amount of $145,000 and extend the term of the contract one additional year for weed <br /> abatement services. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute the amendment with Terra <br /> Landscape to increase the not-to-exceed amount to $145,000, for FY 2018/19 and <br /> 2019/20 and extend the term one additional year. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The cost to complete the additional weed abatement services is $50,000 and funding for <br /> the contract with Terra Landscape is funded in part by the Parks Maintenance, Utilities <br /> Maintenance and Streets Maintenance operational budgets under contract services. <br /> Funding for weed abatement services in FY2019/20 is included in the Operations <br /> Services Division budgets. <br />
