ATTACHMENT 1 FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT This First Amendment to Agreement ("First Amendment") is entered into this 15th day of January 2019 by the City of Pleasanton ("City") and Jeff Katz Architecture ("Consultant") Whereas, on July 18th, 2017, the City and Jeff Katz Architecture entered into Professional Services Agreement for design services ("Agreement"); and Whereas, it has been determined that additional site plans must be prepared for the temporary Fire Station that is planned to be located in the vacant lot on the north side of the Sharp Health Care / Valley Care hospital site; and Whereas,both the City and Jeff Katz Architecture agree that the existing agreement term should be extended to cover the Fire Station Three construction period, and Whereas,the parties desire to amend to the Agreement; Now, therefore, in exchange for valuable consideration, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, the parties agree as follows: 1. Section 1 of the Agreement, "Consultant's Services" is amended to read: Scope of Work shall include a topographical survey and record drawing research of the Sharp Health Care/Valley Care hospital site that will be used to set up a temporary Fire Station to be used by LPFD while Fire Station Three is under construction. 2. Section 4 of the Agreement, "Term" is amended to read: The work shall be completed by December 31, 2020. 3. Section 5 of the Agreement, "Compensation" is amended to read: The City shall pay the Consultant additional compensation of$3,500 for the above- described work. The total compensation for services and reimbursement for costs shall not exceed $471,500 unless the parties agree pursuant to Section 8. 4. All other terms and conditions of the Agreement shall remain in full force and effect.
