City Council during pre-meetings and felt the City Council should at least give it a try. Mayor Thorne <br /> added his vote in support. <br /> Regarding jointly planned facilities for increased student population, Councilmember Narum stated <br /> she sees this as an ongoing effort and questioned whether it will be done in twelve months. City <br /> Manager Fialho reported the School District has a project where it is wanting the City to participate <br /> in financially. He suggested keeping it at Priority A because of its importance. <br /> Mayor Thorne agreed to vote in favor of Developing a Human Services Communication Plan. <br /> Councilmember Pentin stated he thought the City Council had discussed making this a Priority B <br /> and not a Priority C. He believed it should be changed to Priority B. Councilmembers Narum, Testa <br /> and Pentin voted in favor of making the project a Priority B. <br /> Mayor Thorne asked for clarification of Developing City ADA Transition Plan. City Manager Fialho <br /> reported the Transition Plan needs to be updated and the City is required to identify all <br /> improvements, City-wide, for ADA improvements on public infrastructure and develop an <br /> implementation process over time. Mayor Thorne added his vote of support for the item. <br /> In response to Councilmember Brown's question regarding whether a survey will be done to catch <br /> sidewalks that do not have yellow bumps, City Manager Fialho reported it will include a survey as <br /> well as an assessment of what needs to be done when improvements are made to the building. <br /> The City must identify and certify what the deficiencies are and develop an implementation plan. <br /> In reply to Councilmember Narum's question, City Manager Fialho reported it will include all public <br /> buildings and public infrastructure. <br /> Brief discussion followed regarding including reference to the Amador Theater. <br /> Regarding the Single-Use Plastic Reduction Ordinance, Councilmember Pentin reported meeting <br /> with StopWaste and noted the popular term is single-use disposables to include other disposables <br /> besides plastic, alone. He asked that the item be identified as a Single-Use Disposables Ordinance. <br /> Members of Council agreed with Councilmember Pentin's suggestion. <br /> Mayor Thorne asked that his vote be added in support of Updating Business Improvement District <br /> Structure. <br /> Regarding Expanding and Improving Parking in Downtown, City Manager Fialho reported the <br /> project did not get the needed support adding that there are other projects in the works to expand <br /> parking in Downtown. <br /> Mayor Thorne asked that his vote in support of the City of Pleasanton 125th Anniversary, the Pilot <br /> use of alternative pesticide management treatment at designated parks and considering smoking <br /> restrictions for multi-family ownership residents (townhomes and condominiums) to address the <br /> health effects of second-hand smoke. <br /> MOTION: It was m/s by Pentin/Narum to adopt the City Council 2019/2020 Work Plan as revised. <br /> Motion passed by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Brown, Narum, Pentin, Testa, Mayor Thorne <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: None <br /> City Council Minutes Page 9 of 11 March 19, 2019 <br />
