Location and Notification Map <br /> STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br /> Staff recommends the Planning Commission approve Conditional Use Permit (CUP) Case No. <br /> P18-0225 based on the findings and subject to the draft conditions of approval in Exhibit A. <br /> EXECUTIVE SUMMARY <br /> The applicant requests CUP approval to operate a food-service warehouse and distribution <br /> facility (warehouse and distribution facility) for T.A.E.C., LLC, within an existing building at <br /> 5675 Sunol Boulevard. Warehouse and distribution facilities require Planning Commission <br /> approval of a CUP at this location. As proposed, staff recommends that the Planning <br /> Commission find that this use is consistent with the objectives of the zoning district and will be <br /> compatible with the surrounding uses. Similar uses, including Proficient Food Company and <br /> MBM Customized Foodservice Distribution, occupied the subject location from approximately <br /> 1982 until 2017 without any reported issues. Conditions of approval have been included which <br /> will ensure that the safety and general welfare of the surrounding area, and the City in general, <br /> is maintained. <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The applicant is requesting approval of a CUP to operate a food-service warehouse and <br /> distribution facility for T.A.E.C., LLC, within an existing building at 5675 Sunol Boulevard. The <br /> facility would provide general office space and food storage and distribution facilities for <br /> T.A.E.C., LLC employees and their customers. While T.A.E.C., LLC has facilities throughout <br /> the Bay Area, this facility would be their first in Pleasanton. The subject site is zoned I-P <br /> District.
