The Bill also transfers all unencumbered local funds allocated to the BART extension <br />from Bart to the Authority. The first phase of the project will construct <br />the nine -mile section from Auto Mall Parkway in Fremont to SR 84. The Construction <br />was awarded in November 2017 and construction began in the summer of 2018 and <br />should be completed in 2020.
