Public Art Installation: <br />Eventide <br />Nancy and Gary Harrington donated a mountain lion sculpture to the -City to be located in one of <br />the city parks. On January 10, 2019 the Parks and Recreation Commission recommended that. <br />multiple sites be evaluated for the installation of the sculpture. On January 28, 2019 staff <br />reviewed potential locations for the sculpture at the Alviso Adobe, Moller, Agustin Bernal, and <br />Bernal Parks, along the Marilyn Murphy Kane Trail, and at the Castleridge trailhead. <br />Centennial Towers <br />The City is planning to renovate the Centennial Towers Plaza at Civic Park to address the <br />problems with lighting, drainage, and grading. In early 2019 the City identified the names of the <br />people and groups that had donated bricks for the plaza. In March the City reached out -to an <br />electrical engineer to obtain a proposal for the electrical component of the project. <br />Pollinators <br />The City sent out a request for art proposals for art at Bernal Community Park with proposals <br />due on May 18, 2018. The City received a variety of proposals and the Civic Arts Commission <br />chose a pollinator friendly sculpture by artist Deedee Morrison. On February 20, 2019 City staff <br />met with the artist to determine the exact location of the sculpture and discuss fabrication and <br />installation. <br />ALTERNATIVE ACTION <br />Any other action as determined by the Parks and.
