All hot and cold <br />water pipes to be insulated. Uponor PEX insulated may be evaluated as an <br />alternate. <br />• Soil and Vent Piping: <br />o Existing: Cast iron and plastic located below in crawl space and in building. <br />o Condition: Poor, leaky, and damaged. <br />o Recommendation: Replace with new type DWV-PVC or ABS. <br />• Gas & Pipe Meter: <br />o Existing: Meter at back of building pipe. Material is black steel. <br />o Condition: Fair. <br />o Recommendation: Meter can remain. New piping -from meter to- gas -using <br />device with all- new valves.
